This October, Green Osijek (GO) conducted field visits to seven partner organisations within the Education Working Group of the LIFE RESTORE for MDD project. The partners included VSUME, JU VP, WWF HU, JU MP, IRSNC and RMSO. These visits assessed educational practices, infrastructure and natural sites throughout the UNESCO Five-country Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube (TBR MDD).
GO engaged external experts Tijana Pavlović and Alice Thinschmidt, who joined GO’s Mislav Barić during the site visits. The team evaluated current practices and gathered insights to develop a unified training programme for all five countries. Over the next year, these experts will help create an innovative training curriculum and lead workshops to improve the skills of trainers.
This initiative demonstrates the LR4MDD network’s commitment to education about the region’s unique biodiversity, species and river morphology of floodplain forests and rivers within the TBR MDD.
